2021 Use Kindness

  • The tongue has no bones, but is strong enough to break a heart. So be careful with your words.” “A broken bone can heal, but the wound a word opens can fester forever.”

  • “Don’t mix bad words with your bad mood. You will have many opportunities to change a mood, but you will never get the opportunity to replace the words you spoke.”

  • “The tongue is the only tool that gets sharper with use.”

  • “A slip of the foot you may soon recover, but a slip of the tongue you may never get over.” Benjamin Franklin

  • “It’s better to bite your tongue than to eat your words.” Frank Sonnenberg

1) Proverbs 25:18 “Telling lies about others is as harmful as hitting them with an ax, wounding them with a sword, or shooting them with a sharp arrow.”

2) Psalm 34:13 “Then keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies.”

3) Proverbs 26:20 “Without wood a fire goes out; without a gossip a quarrel dies down.”

4) Proverbs 6:16-19 “There are six things the Lord hates, seven that are detestable to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush to evil, a false witness who pours out lies and a person who stirs up conflict in the community.”

5) Matthew 5:22 “But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother will be liable to judgement; whoever insults his brother will be liable to the council; and whoever says, “you fool!” will be liable to the hell of fire.”

6) Proverbs 19:5 “A false witness will not go unpunished, and he who breathes out lies will not escape.”

I am spending more time in the my bible. I am going to listen to the bible on tape and re read it .

January 3, 2021

I plan to use more kindness. I know many of already do so let's continue that trend into this new year. I am fearful for many things going on and I have to trust in God. He will be around long after this world has faded away. I remind myself of this daily.

Keep Tarrah and Ella in your prayers and thank you for praying. Each day they grow a bit stronger. Ella has a long road ahead of her but we know she will want to join her brothers at home so we lift her up in prayer. Tarrah just wants to be with her girl and get home to her boys too. Andrew needs prayer as he is working, running to the hospital and making plans for help with the boys at home. I pray he can get some rest and eventually they will be able to slow down and rest from the busyness of the 2020-2021 days,

Thank you again and pray that Nick will be released so he may return to his home office and get back to work. He has a new work table coming soon so I think he will feel more relaxed in his improved space.

We are grateful for all we have and all others give generously to us with their kind hearts and prayers.

A prayer for Roger as he watches Harrison and Shea while their parents go back to work. Shea is a busy bundle of baby goodness. Harrison is a busy nearly five year old. How did that happen? We played the Banana Bash game and had so much fun. That little monkey is sneaky and you never know when he is going to jump up!

Life is good most days and my sweetheart leaves me to head back to his office. It has been a trying week with all that has gone on. Thank you for being here with us.

While i generally try to speak with tact, it doesn't mean i am not thinking things that are not lawful to be uttered, so i need some wrangling with my thoughts to get them in line with what Jesus wants me to think!
