Feline Friday

Feline Friday

This gray cat is a pinterest find. My sister had a solid gray cat, his name was Dylan but his eyes were emerald green. He was a feral cat. My sister use to laugh everyday, because he never got of out the habit of rumaging through the trash can. He passed away from Feline Leukimia but his years with my sis were glroious times for him. How they loved each other. He loved being an indoor cat once he learned to chill with the other cats in her household.

It doesn't matter if you are six feet four and broad of shoulder, if a kitten is looking for a mother-figure you're it. ~Pam Brown, Utterly Gorgeous Cats, 2006, helenexley.com

I wish I could write as mysterious as a cat. ~Author unknown

You will always be lucky if you know how to make friends with strange cats. ~Proverb

This one would be my sister Mary.

My Friendly Fill In's:

1. Being with my grands is more fun than a barrel of monkeys.

2. One should take time to pray everyday.

3. I hesitate to speak out on social issues too much because there is always someone who thinks differently. I try to be lighthearted here.

4. Is it time for Fall weather yet? Crunchy leaves, soft sweaters, cool morning breezes and Fall foliage.

I love this pretty pink cottage . I found the image at Pinterest.  I wanted to share it with Pink Saturday When I created this blog I missed a step at blogger so I can not share this with Beverly at Pink Saturday as linky does not recognize this blog. sigh....But I will post it here and enjoy seeing this pleasant little house in pink.

Feline Friday

Feline Friday I think we have all had these "Garfield hits a brick wall" kinda day! But it will get better, it always does. A little rest and everything will feel better in the morning.

A Throw Back Photo for out son-in-law Zach's 30th birthday. Happy Birthday to the grill master at our house. We wish him many more and know he has enjoyed a few relaxing days, just hanging out with his wife and enjoying some time away from work. They had a delicious meal at Texas de Brazil.

Back in 2014 when when the Seahawks beat the Broncos in the Super Bowl our crazy son Jeremy took his buddy Zach with him. Zach was a big hockey guy so Jeremy converted him to football. They had a great time as you can see. Lots of memories for this crazy kids who today are brother-in-laws.

These two will be married 4 years come December 2nd 2021. Rebekah put their wedding together in 56 days by herself from start to finish.  I can still here Avery say, God had His Hand on us that day. It was picture perfect.

Here's wishing Zach a wonderful birthday weekend. Also a happy birthday wish to his twin sister Alexa. Although she lives in Michigan, she is celebrating too. She has a double celebration because she is expecting their second child in a few months. She is the youngest of the twins Zach and Alexa    and she has a precious daughter Charlotte and a sweetheart of a hubby Jake. Happy Birthday Alexa

Friendly Fill In's and Pink Saturday

I f you visit these two ladies, you will want to join this fun. Ellen and Lorianne share the weekly fun by each thinking up two of these selections:

My Answer are here:

1. I am contemplating trying to downsize my closet and sell some of my clothes. I have too much.

2. My prayer is that people would be kinder to each other and stop being mean about all that is going on in the world. It  affects each and every person and no one knows what is on someone elses heart and mind.

3. I can do our laundry in record time. I have it down to a science and it is a place that gives me great peace and joy.

4. I miss the days when life was simple and kindness not hateful ruled. I miss my childhood. It was a perfect world to me because of the way I was raised.

I met Holly through LuLaRoe. She was diagnosised with leukemia and yet her shining personality never stopped shing through. She had to take a break because she was hospitalized but she kind heart keep shining. She lost all of her hair but has some colorful wigs and I love this one. Her pink hair makes her smile even brighter. I also love her BoHo style dress.  Continue to pray for her. CUrrently she is home with a second round of chemo that she is able to be home with. Life is hard, I just keep praying harder.

I can not count the years that Beverly has hosted Pink Saturday. I have been with her since 2010. She is gracious hostess and even while she and her husband were moving she kept up the blog hop. I thought Holly's pink hair was a perfect match for this today.

Back than hundreds of people participated. But I did it many times in honor of my sweet friend gone too soon.

Anniversary Wishes and More

 TO

Our Sweethearts
MAY THEY BECOME OUR WIVES
TO
Our Wives
MAY THEY REMAIN OUR SWEETHEARTS
~Herbert Dickinson Ward, Lauriel: The Love Letters of an American Girl, 1901

Wishing Brittany and Jeremy a very happy fifth anniversary April 30, 2021.  It seems like yesterday they were married in a beautiful ceremony.

Their wedding was a lovely affair. It seems like we were just attending it. How time flies.

Bronco Fans Forever!

Here are the results of a wonderful marriage. Addy was that excellent bonus Jeremy received when he married Brittany. Then the boys came along. Addy is such a terrific big sister. Brody and Blake are good brothers too.

Let's be a comfortable couple and take care of each other... how glad we shall be that we have somebody we are fond of always to talk to and sit with! ~Charles Dickens, Nicholas Nickleby, 1839

Please visit Pink Saturday.

Here are my answers to the Friendly Fill In's:

1. I wouldn't mind if I could  live away from all the huistle and bustle and enjoy peace and quiet.

2. I want to  treat my cat to a happy birthday today.

3.  Others come to me when  they need something done.

4. Boots is a memory that I regularly think about.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MISTER KITTY

So this silly kitty turned 8 years old today, the 5th wedding anniversary of Jeremy & Brittany. He was born a few miles from where they were married. So I am sharing my favorite photos of him.

He was a terrible crybaby when he first came to me. He hated his carrier and when we would go to the vet he would stick his paw out of the carrier and cry as if he was going to have his last supper. What a drama king I have! He is still so dramatic. One minute past his breakfast or supper and he is howling at me.
Always comfy no matter where he falls asleep. We just listened to his theme song, I've Got A Tiger By the Tail by Buck Owens.  I think they wrote that song for a feline.

Shy is not a word in his lifetime. But he can ham it up pretty good.

My favorite photo of him with his pal Roxanne. He knew how sick she was and he never left her side. He was a true and loyal friend to the end of her short little life with us.

We original thought he was a girl hahaha until the vet flipped him over, oops.....so TigerLily became Tiger, than Mickeyand Mister Tomkins and Mr. Cat (Jeremy still calls him that!) and Mister Kitty. As long as you have a minor interest in him getting his meals timely, he will become your friend forever. This photo reveals the kind side of him. He is a beautiful creature.

I can't believe I'm 8! I need to watch my weight. But I love my meals and my treats. I sure wish I'd get more of those. So my final entry here is a birthday wish to this very ornery kitty with beautiful green eyes and a love for me that shines more as he grows older and a bit wiser.

Feline Friday Friendly Fill In's and Pink Saturday

This is one of my favorite quotes about cats. Plus I see another feline who looks like my Mister Kitty. Stop by Feline Friday. Share some feline fun and enjoy a wonderful weekend too.

I am trying to be more creative and come up with two sets of Friendly Fill In's.  Ellen and Lorianne share thinking up things to use at the Fill In's.  Each of one them think up these ideas to share with the rest of us.

1. ____________is such an inconvenience.

2. My favorite part of the Easter (or Passover ) meal is ____________.

3. I would like to find an Easter egg filled with _____________.

4. For me, ___________is a deal breaker.

My answers are here:

1. Paying so many taxes is such an inconvenience.

2. My favorite part of the Easter (or Passover) meal is enjoying it with loved ones.

3. I would like to find an Easter egg filled with  Lindt chocolate.

4. For me, a nosey neighbor is a deal breaker.  I like friendly people but not those who want your life story but are secretive with their own life.

These cute pink mini Easter cakes  would make a nice surprise for dessert. You can find the recipe here:bigfamilyblessings.com
Stop by Pink Saturday and share your favorite pink.

Have a blessed and beautiful Easter. Have a blessed and beautiful Pass Over too.

Feline Friday, My BoJon Heritage, Pink Saturday

This was Harrison with Socks. He was not an indoor feline at all and unfortunately where they lived, in an open area, he was hit by a car. It left Harrison sad but he is an animal lover and he is now enjoying Jingle and Bell as they are indoor domestic cats. I will have to find photos of them soon. Share oyur favorite feline at Feline Friday. This was a photo from 2019. Socks reminded me of Boots, he was quite a beautiful kitten. It is a shame so many animals are left unattended.

Noelle always manages to capture excellent photos. This one is definetly one of those. Grandpa Avery and Blake chasing the balloons. This little fellow was getting tired. THey had played hard at MOnkey Business today so he was winding down for the evening.

Shea was so pretty in pink (check out her cool shoes). She is a Pink Saturday girl for sure. BLake was unsure if he liked her sitting in his high chair. He also wondered how she was getting his treats so he snatched that canister and walked away with it. He is a sweetheart of a boy, just very busy at this time in his life.

Brody was sitting very seriously waiting for his cake. Grandpa decided to pick up this Dino and sing Happy Birthday to Brody by moving that Dino's mouth. This is what happens when you use your imagination with a creative child. That Dino ate more cake than the rest of us.

It is way past our bedtime and that electrician will be ringing the doorbell at 8 A.M. Finally, or at least hopeful, that our solar panels will be a go after this final city inspection tomorrow afternoon. Say a prayer for us and Jeremy and Brittany as they close on their house and their new home tomorrow. Pray for Texas, Tennesse, Louisana. So many hurting without power or water. Many friends are saying stores are closed, roads are closed and many grocery stores have no food. I am very sad for all that is happening in our country so quickly. Quite a sad thing but Hooray for El Paso, Texas. They have their own power grid so heat and water are available.

“The day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. … So then let us not sleep, as others do, but let us keep awake.” —1 Thessalonians 5:2,6

Pink Saturday and Reasons for Gratefulness

Please visit Pink Saturday. This is our 2020 CHRISTmas ornament from the three grands of Jeremy & Brittany. We love it. I am excited for the holidays. Nearly set for THANKSgiving. Sad Hannah and Jake can not join us this year. Otherwise very grateful for the other kids to gather.

1. With the nineteenth anniversary of the passing of my mother coming up November 16, I have been a walking zombie. Somethings are harder to pass on and loss of loved ones is a big one for me. My mom was always so easy to talk to. She knew exactly what to say. I will always miss that about her but would not wish her or any loved ones gone to heaven to this disaster we are moving into for 2021 and beyond. I do not believe the hatred with let up, the violence and constant mean and hateful words people pass back and forth. It's sad but I have to trust GOD as He has a plan unfolding and I want to be part of HIS plan to move upward. I am simply GRATEFUL.

2. Grateful for those precious grands and that precious ornament. 2018 I had two ornaments made with all of our names on it. I Need to update another ornament. We even had all our pets past and present. It was double sided and so sweet. Thankful we can mostly all be together during the holidays.

3. Grateful for hot tea and indoor activities while we have high wind and 20 and 30 degree temps. It has been an incredibly strange time. THANKFUL for all the good times we have.

4. GRATEFUL most of Thanksgiving is ready to be placed on our THANKSgiving table. A plump and juicy turkey will be the centerpiece with all the wonderful dishes we serve on the side. We shopped early and are good to go. THANKFUL

5. THANKFUL and GRATEFUL to have resolved some of the blog and internet woes. It went from bad to worse but things are slowly coming back together. So very GRATEFUL.

6. GRATEFULNESS is easy to find, you simply look around you and see all the tiny and sometime insignificant things we take for granted most days. I thank all of you who have shared your own thoughts too. I love seeing all the thankful and grateful shares.

7. GRATEFUL THANKSgiving and CHRISTmas are coming. I love the holiday music so I was singing in my mind, The CHRISTmas Song by John Denver and the Muppets, Christmas is coming, the goose is getting fat... So very THANKFUL.

8. THANKFUL my birthday is just around the corner and I cherish all the good wishes from years past. When I turned 60 I received 60 different wishes and greetings from so many loved ones including some awesome bloggers. Anyone who knows me knows how much I appreciate good old fashioned mail. It thrills me. GRATEFUL.

9. GRATEFUL for mail certainly. Today I received the sweetest note from Char, a high school buddy, who sent a thank you for simply praying for her and checking in on how she was doing. She recently had to have her foot amputated due to neuropathy. She is a trooper, an amazing strong woman and she went through so many  hard losses too. I found the button I posted here and immediately thought of not only myself but I thought of Char too. IT seemed perfect for all the loss we have in our lived. THANKFUL.

10. THANKFUL for all the wonderful friendships here, the friends I have known for ages and all the rest of the friendships that I want to celebrate here now. I am still catching up on commenting so please do not give up on me. I am coming your way.

TBT and Pink Saturday

I simply forgot to click post yesterday. Do you have those days? The day went on forever. We played a new game called Unstable Unicorns. My hubby won the game having never played it before. Hmmmm... suspicious?! Perhaps the SIL Zach was feeding him inside info. HaHaHa

It is available wherever games are sold but amazon.com has quick delivery. We live close to a distribution center. Nick worked there at one time and they employee so many people.

This is my nephew Brian's youngest child Alex.  The black and white photo are my dad's phamily  about 1916  .  I think the resemblance is striking. My dad had two brothers that passed away in Joseph 1906-1909 and (Frank) 1915-1918.  Frank passed away from the Influenza  outbreak. When people get sassy about this virus going on now it offends me. My grandparents lived through it. The highest mortality rate were children under the age of five.  Today the right combination of drugs are helping more survive. If a 97 year old could survive it with the drugs being prescribed before this was turned into a huge political fiasco to earn votes regardless of the loss of life, we are truly living in very dark and extremely sad times. I am sorry but these are my loved ones. Frank shared his July 3 birthday with our youngest daughter Hannah and it means a great deal to me personally so I do not need hateful comments about being angry or anything else.  I Have since removed such comments and it is why I continue to blog. The ability to delete hate is easy here. Social media, I do not even want to go there. I wanted to share this for TBT but this photo of  part of my dad's phamily bugged me. Today I was able to record all the 9 siblings birthdates and sort all this mystery out.  I apologize for those of you who are kind and caring and simply visit because we share interests and hopefully kind hearts as well.  On a very happy note, I believe this photo was taken about 1915 or 1916 as Frank was the baby. I Know my father is wearing the short pants with the belt on his shirt because he was very close to his older sister Mary (Mima). I was raised in the Catholic church and according to the First Communion rule back in my day and also my parents day, a child in the second grade was usually given the opportunity to make their First Communion. Auntie Mima was dressed in a beautiful first Communion dress. I had seen one other photo of Frank and also their brother Joseph who was the first born child and he lived 1906-1909. I am positive the baby on my grandpa's lap is Frank.  How they survived losing two young children will always baffle me. I can not even imagine that tremendous of a loss but so many lived through those difficult times and you might have them in your phamily tree too.  I know Martha at Seaside Simplicity is having a hard week so say some prayers . She did not post TBT but I did, although late.

I am hoping to find my mother's phamily tree. She had a sister named Frances and I believe she may have passed away at birth or soon after. I do not have a year of birth for her. All I have to go on is she is buried in what is called the old cemetery so I am unsure if there are records.  This is hard work finding out info after your loved ones are gone. If you still have parents or elderly relatives sit down and get all the info you can. You will be glad you did.

Pink skies from 2016 for Pink Saturday

Hannah had a tiny helper making graveyard pudding. The kids arrived safely and are enjoying their trip. Going to national parks where there are not huge crowds has been a real blessing for them.
