THINGS THAT MAKE YOU SAY WHAT IN THE WORLD ON WORDLESS WEDNESDAY

THESE ARE ACTUAL COMPLAINTS RECEIVED BY "THOMAS COOK VACATIONS" FROM DISSATISFIED CUSTOMERS:

1. "They should not allow topless sunbathing on the beach. It was very distracting for my husband who just wanted to relax."

2. "On my holiday to Goa in India, I was disgusted to find that almost every restaurant served curry. I don't like spicy food."

3. "We went on holiday to Spain and had a problem with the taxi drivers as they were all Spanish."

4. "We booked an excursion to a water park but no-one told us we had to bring our own swimsuits and towels. We assumed it would be included in the price."

5. "The beach was too sandy. We had to clean everything when we returned to our room."

6. "We found the sand was not like the sand in the brochure. Your brochure shows the sand as white but it was more yellow."

7. "It's lazy of the local shopkeepers in Puerto Vallartato close in the afternoons. I often needed to buy things during 'siesta' time -- this should be banned."

8. "No-one told us there would be fish in the water. The children were scared."

9. "Although the brochure said that there was a fully equipped kitchen, there was no egg-slicer in the drawers."

10. "I think it should be explained in the brochure that the local convenience store does not sell proper biscuits like custard creams or ginger nuts."

11. "The roads were uneven and bumpy, so we could not read the local guide book during the bus ride to the resort. Because of this, we were unaware of many things that would have made our holiday more fun."

12. "It took us nine hours to fly home from Jamaica to England. It took the Americans only three hours to get home. This seems unfair."

13. "I compared the size of our one-bedroom suite to our friends' three-bedroom and ours was significantly smaller."

14. "The brochure stated: 'No hairdressers at the resort.' We're trainee hairdressers and we think they knew and made us wait longer for service."

15. "When we were in Spain, there were too many Spanish people there. The receptionist spoke Spanish, the food was Spanish. No one told us that there would be so many foreigners."

16. "We had to line up outside to catch the boat and there was no air-conditioning."

17. "It is your duty as a tour operator to advise us of noisy or unruly guests before we travel."

18. "I was bitten by a mosquito. The brochure did not mention mosquitoes."

19. "My fiancée and I requested twin-beds when we booked, but instead we were placed in a room with a king bed. We now hold you responsible and want to be re-reimbursed for the fact that I became pregnant. This would not have happened if you had put us in the room that we booked."

BIRTHDAY WEEKEND

Happy Birthday to my sweetheart. I have been MIA. It is a long story. Let's say the phamily is all doing well now and we enjoyed the company of the birthday boy at lunch.

We have lots of photos and some new ones I will share tomorrow. Avery is finally as old as I am ! ha ha ha.... the circle of life. I love celebrating birthdays! God created you so thank Him in style!

Lots of July birthdays including my sweet dad, celebrating in heaven since 1985. But he shares this date with Avery as well as cousin Chuck, who also celebrates his first birthday in heaven today. Hannah, my brother Ed,. My my dad's little brother Frank and my grandmother K. were all born in this glorious summer month along with dad's sister Ann. Brother Bill & my sister-in-law Joyce celebrated their wedding anniversary. Since 1963! Woo Hoo! Avery's sis Lucy also celebrates her July 20th birthday. What a month of celebrations. My sister Pat's fourth son Tony was born in July too. As you can see, it has been very busy!

From 2019...seems like yesterday.

Lots of photos to share. So I will go to my other blog too. I celebrate my dad who went to heaven in 1985. Miss him everyday and this day would have also been his birthday.

Miss you always and forever until I see you again.

I hope you will visit Pink Saturday

I thought I would post this fun questionaire. Ranada is my Oklahoma friend and she is one of the best encouraging people I know.

We have company, Hannah and Jake are here from Western New York. So Avery took off to weeks and in 31 years he has never taken that much time at one time! It has been so heavenly and when he returns to work Monday I am going to be so sad. We have done lots of projects, had a few barbeques and enjoyed seeing many relatives. We traveled to Boulder County to see the Boulder Falls. I will post photos soon. We walked down to the falls and the spray was lovely, because it was a very warm day.

These are our son-in-laws. Zach with the gray shirt. I am next to Roger and Jake is on the right of Roger. Roger is home. He gets his rest and seems to be doing well. We continue to pray and thank all of you who have joined us. He has several appointments coming up and we are all very blessed that we can all be together during these summer months. It will be hard to see Hannah and Jake leave too. But we know all good times come to an end.

We have had really hot days and the evenings have been cooler as we get a few rain showers.
Hannah celebrated her birthday with us. She is as old as her dad has worked for the law firm. The day she was born, at home, he had his job interview and started working on July 23rd which is his birthday.

Here are a few more photos from our holiday weekend and fun times.

DInner at CInzetti's with Jeremy and crew and Hannah and Jake. It was a nice experience until the wait person stated that we had to leave within 2 hours. We made a reservation, had been there 1 hour and 15 minutes. So as we left, our son Jeremy was asked by a manager if we had a nice experience. He said we were all long time customers and told her what happened. She was shocked and could not believe we were told that. As you can see these little boys were simply enjoying their ice cream dessert with their big sister and we are the best tippers, stack our dirty dishes for the server and never get loud or unruly. It is interesting that the server told us this info after she saw the big cash tip we left! It is not our fault that people do not make reservations and have a long wait time. We figured maybe they were trying to get the first diners out of their door. We arrived promplty at 5 o'clock when they unlocked their doors!

"Truth will ultimately prevail where there is pains to bring it to light." George Washington

"It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery." Galatians 5:1

I was reading through so many wonderful comments. Thank you everyone. I noticed a few of my comments just disappeared. I am going to check my email if they landed over there. Blogger is a real booger! Thank you and I will slowly get back to everyone. Thanks for the prayers and wonderful comments. GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
