Rainy Days and Mondays

Welcome to  Toni Taddeo's Tuesday 4 where we ask just 4 questions each week to get you blogging and thinking and meeting other bloggers!

Rainy Days and Mondays was a song about being down but, not everyone is down on a Monday or a rainy day.

1. Do Mondays get you down or did they ever? How about a rainy day? What makes it better?
I don't have a problem with Monday's but when I had to work I did not like to see SONday coming because I knew I had to go to work the next day. Grateful not to have to deal with that any longer. We have rain tonight. The lightening and thunder is wild. But the rain is always needed.

2. How do you like to spend rainy days?
It depends on the temperature. I still will walk in the rain if it is not storming. Some people act as if they are going to melt away. I enjoy the rain. If it's cold I like to curl up with a good book.  We have had many rainy days this Spring and Summer. So the only down side is trying to get outdoor things done. Our backyard is a disaster. We have a section not sodded or for cement or anything. The weeds are wicked and wild.

3.Do you like to take a walk in the rain?
Yes I do if the lightening and thunder are not wild. I like the fresh air the rain often brings. I am not sure I could live somewhere that gets the constant rain showers but I am never sad when it rains here. We always need extra moisture.

4.What is your weather like this summer so far? What would make it better or worse?  What is your ideal summer weather?
This summer has been weird. So hot and when the rain showers come, which most times have been short and sweet the humidity kicks up and I do not like humidity. But we had a rainy Spring so that spoiled me somewhat.  I like temps in the 60-70 degree range. But that would be in a perfect world.

....a land of sheltered homes and warm firesides  - firesides that were waiting - waiting for the bubbling kettle and the fragrant breathe of tea -- Agnes Repplier , To Think of Tea!

I miss the blogs that use to host tea cup exchanges and giveaways. I use to love doing the giveaways myself as well. I received a few lovely tea for one sets and so many beautiful tea cups and saucers. With lots of fun extra tea time goodies. Happy times.

I remember hosting a postcard giveaway too. I received over 200 postcards from all over the USA and many other countries.Intense Guy won the giveaway which consisted of several Colorado themed items.  I tried to do a second postcard giveaway but 2020 spoiled it. I did admire the sprinkle of true sweethearts who did send a postcard. Their generous hearts really made me smile. A happy time and place.

Remembering good memories from other bloggings long ago. So many still here and so many no longer blogging for many reasons I suppose. Happy memories.

He liked those orange traffic cones.  Apparently, Maxine does not! hahaha

This has been such an unusually hot summer, the rain is more welcome than ever, Anne. Although here in Georgia, the summer rains bring more humidity - something I don't care for!
Maxine is a hoot!
Blessings!

May and June was less hot the I can ever remember. July was normal.

Love Maxine. That one made me laugh out loud.

Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Hugs, Anne. ♥

Yes, summer has been really hot and humid here in Florida, but then again, that really is normal for us. I am looking forward to late September/October when we will begin to get a little reprieve from the heat. Usually October is really nice, and then we have wonderful weather all winter long until about mid April, when it starts warming up again. That's why we love living in Florida. If I could afford to live somewhere cooler in the summer I would, but we are thankful to have what we have and can't afford anything more. God is good. He knows our needs and takes good care of us. We are thankful for our new AC. That was a blessing. Maxine is always fun. Thanks for sharing!! I never did the teacup exchange blogs, etc. I am afraid I don't do well with extra "obligations" in blogging. It's all I can do to keep up with reading and writing! LOL. But I do love tea parties, whether virtual or real. Let's have a cuppa and just relax. Maybe better have iced tea today, however. LOL. Bye for now. xoxox

What can I say about this year's extreme weather? Can't help but believe God is trying to tell us something.
I'm shaking my head and giggling about that Maxine toon. That actually happened to me while driving into work while it was still dark outside. I only got a couple miles down the road before I had to pull over because the noise made me fear for my car. To add insult to injury, I had to get down on my knees in a dirty 7/11 parking lot to try and wedge it out with my umbrella.

I miss some of the older blogs too, Blue Monday and Red Wednesday's were always fun, and fun makes for happy memories! I never participated in a teacup exchange but I remember reading many blogs that did. That was also a fun/happy thing. Enjoyed your Tuesday 4 answers, have a great day. :)

Maxine is always fun. So many blogs have come and gone. Everyone seems to really hate humidity and I don't blame them. It makes weather far worse. Thank you so much for joining in!

Monday reminds me i wish i were retired. All things in due time, right?

I hope you get a chance to walk in a cooling, but not stormy, rain soon.

I miss a lot of former bloggers too.
We used to exchange a lot of experiences with the children. And the give-aways. Some were so happy to get something really Dutch, and I won a christmas plate... I still have it and it's part of the decoration each year.
And everything going on in the graphics community. My computer crashed and I lost everything. Such a pity.

So I was happy to find a meme I use to take part in and find some more.

Maybe I should start blogging again...

Have a nice week!

Those were interesting answers. That is one pretty teapot. Hey, one of our blogging buddies just visited a Teapot Museum, it looked pretty cool too.

I love to have a gentle rain in the night, so good for sleeping. Or sitting on the porch in the rain is also nice. It's been a strange summer - very dry to start with, but lots of rain lately. I'm enjoying it though!

I never got to be a part of a tea cup giveaway at blogging. My friends and I did a homework assignment at our blogs and would try new things and then blog about them...for example one of the bloggings we had to grow something new. I tried to grow lavender from seeds. It did not go well. It was fun though. We also had to tell a "ghost story" or something like that in our community. I wrote about the Spook Light close to a town where I went to college...that was our October assignment. I agree, blogging used to be so different and fun in other ways. Loved your answers! Have a nice week.

I love a good thunder and lightning storm. Here, in washington, when it rains it's usually colder so we hate being out in it. When we were kids living in ohio and and it was warm out, we loved going out and playing in the puddles.

I miss the old blogging days, too. Giveaways, swaps, happy mail. Oh, well. I love a good rain storm, too. And Maxine is always good for a laugh.
