We loved Nick's days of running track & field and Cross Country. We loved Pre. He was an unstoppable force when it came to running but his life was cut short. I often wonder what he would be today? Had a tragic accident not taken his life.

Thoughts to Ponder

 

My friend Carole shared this and it struck me. Women can be especially critical especially the ones who are always looking for validation for themselves. My circle is so small, I do not wish to be around anyone who goes along with what is popular, what everyone else is doing. I never have and I never will. There are very few people who are trustworthy. FInd those people and hang on to them.

Karen S. was raised very much in the same fashion as I was raised. We respected everyone and when you did not get along with someone that was ok. You could just walk away without drama ,without hate, without revenge.

How were you raised? Can you let go if things don't work out with someone? I Know it was hard for me when I first lost my job but today I actually feel sorry for those that grieved me. You have to pray for them. God always has a plan.

I have to read and reread these verses many times. Life is hard. Boy was my mother right! You have to learn to pray and than pray harder. 

Snoopy never fails to make me smile. He is happiness 101. Get Snoopy and Get Happy too.

Another day will soon dawn. I hope we are in it. Rest well my friends.

As you may recall, we adopted a family for CHRISTmas 2020. We really all worked together to get them everything they wished for, which was not a lot. Today Rebekah received this thank yo in the mail. The family wanted to send us a thank you but everything is anonymous so they took it to the city center and they mailed it for us. The letter inside was beautifully written by the mom and one of her two kids drew this sweet photo. We were thankful they were our family and we are very thnakful we could help them.

It is F R E E and that is worth more than all the money in the world, to be able to make someone feel special, loved and cared for.

Snoopy on Blessed Grateful Thankful

 

Snoopy is "Retired". He was tired yesterday and he's tired again today! I get tired more easily in the winter. I guess I am related to bears who hibernate.

Snoopy and Charlie Brown are counting their blessings. Are you?

Charlie Brown and Snoopy have grateful hearts. It is the very best way to start and to end your day.

I think Snoopy is wise. He knows what is important. I hope you have many thankful moments this week. I know I do already.

Blessed Grateful Thankful

 

Feeling very blessed as I am working on finishing the office/junk room that needs to simply be an office. Going to work hard tomorrow as well. Snow is in the forecast and it does not look like it will leave anytime soon. 

Grateful I have so many little projects to complete. I need to get back to my encouragment group. I see the list of those needing encouragement and I have many beautiful cards I can send. Nick getting so ill got in the way the past several months.

Happiness is not a state of mind. It is a state of being. Happiness comes from thankfulness. I prefer it and hope to continue to be thankful in all I Have and I do. 

This is a beautiful quote attributed to Julia Roberts. I am not much of a celebrity watcher but I do love these words.

Going to rest in warmth and comfort while I pray for those less fortunate. I will never understand how we allow people to be out in the cold. Something in our world is wrong, terribly wrong. I wish you a good night's rest. I pray we are here tomorrow to say hello and share some humor or laughter or enjoy a virtual hug. Peace and Love to you .

Today was an excellent day. Lots of good things happened. I woke up and realized I had to prepare my spaghetti sauce. So off to the store I went.  I was buying some spicy chicken patties so the hubby could have something quick and easy for work. He gets lunch provided but they can not use the fridge or freezer except to store anything overnight. There was one package left and it was all the way to the back of the freezer case which is tall and deep. So I moved on at first. Ran into the sweetest petite lady on the next aisle and told her my dilemma. She said she had long arms so she'd help me. she almost had it but it was a couple inches away from her reach. Along comes a tall gal who worked there and she retrived it for us. I thanked them both and continued my shopping. I met a young mom with two little boys. The kids were super friendly showing me their snacks with Paw Patrol , the little cheese and fruit snacks.We kept meeting on each aisle and the store was busy with one check lane. I was behind a young man with a cart full of LeCroix sparkling beverages and about 60 bags of Dorito chips. He said he worked in an office with 100 people. They were having a Super Bowl Party. The lady with the two little ones came in behind me at the check out stand. She had like ten items and two gallons of milk. The boys were getting restless. I told her to get ahead of me. They all three said in unison THANK YOU! I Knew they wanted those snack packs. HaHaHa...

I came home, realized I did not have room in the big freezer for everything so I started prepping and baking. I put the sauce on to simmer and tossed in about 25 meatballs. I baked a dutch apple pie and baked four of my Honey's spice chicken patties. I put a lasagne in the oven and had a super late lunch with garlic bread and a salad. We ate the same for dinner.

I posted Princess Sassy Pants because today her words rang so true. Joy, Love, Peace and Laughter matter and they do not cost a thing. Kindness matters and it is also free. Use it to your hearts content. 

Get your rest and get your dreams. I hope they are happy and we see each other again tomorrow.

January came and now February is here. Although it is a very short month, it is jam packed with birthdays.

NEGATIVITY:

 I don't let all the negative news get to me. In fact, we turn off the T.V. It is a fact people who sit and watch endless hours of tragic news end up with worse problems than they thought they'd seen on the endless news coverage. I prefer faith and I prefer peace and quiet while I can get it. I have learned to stay away from social media. It is a magnet for hatred, gossip, bullying anf all the rest of the things we should all run away from.But so many thrive on it. I find it all so very sad. I would like to remove my personal photos but everytime I try to go there it is a real sadness. Joyce is one of the very few who tell it like it is and she posts the very best things. Some folks were grieving about the conditions in the world  and she posted this:

I know he was grateful he would not be here and I would never wish him back to this earth. I apologize whoever made this meme did not correct the spelling errors. I find these sites, even blogger, do not give you the option to correct your errors. If you can not see them yourself they won't help you out. I blog late in to the night so I apologize when I recheck my words to find errors.  I believe I was blessed in the education I was given.

My friend Bea says eight full hours of sleep will keep you beautiful or handsome. I think she is right and I know that : Drinking lots of water will keep you well hydrated and taking your vitamins will keep even the cootie bugs away.  Sweet Dreams, Stay Well and Rest Your Eyes.
