Another Father's Day tribute, this time with dad and his girl -  Hannah who will be here with Jake in a few weeks to celebrate her milestone birthday. We are so excited. As I find and sort photos I will always post more. I Love this phamily. of mine. Each one of them.

Feline Friday

I found this pinterest find too. To celebrate Father's Day 2021. I will probaly take my sweet husband to Outback for a nice meal. I bought him some new clothes and a sample of high end cologne. Like my own father, Avery loves good cologne.I know my own dad would love all those new scents.

My favorite photo of my dad. He was everything to me.

 

Baseball, no matter if it is T ball or Little League, MLB, I still love it. I just close my eyes and ears to the political noise the world throws at us today. I know this, no one today could have played with guys like my dad, even though he played semi pro. They could not touch the likes of Satchel Paige,  Joltin Joe DiMaggio, Richard the Goose Gossage, and the great Cal Ripken Jr who never missed a single game in his career and played his entire career with the Baltimore Orioles.  But my father will forever be my hero. He was a steel worker. He worked hard to provide for us. He would be saddened to see where our coutnry is headed today. I will never back down and say I am not proud of those who came before me. They  were the salt of the earth. Hard working and never taking handouts. I am and will be proud of my heritage as long as I live and breathe.

I do have photos here somewhere of dad's 1969 Chevy truck This one is a google image. My father was very proud of that truck and he cared for it and all our cars when he retired. I miss him all the time.

I have my fill in anwsers here:

1. If I could trade places with someone for a day, I would trade with no one. I like myself and other than loved ones gone before I am not into the whole celebrity thing. Otherwise I would love to have the strength, the fortitude and the faith and love my grandmother Cecilia had.

2. I would like to own a newer car some day.

3. I can't stand allergies this time of year and the heat. Oh the awful heat. Trees too, they make my allergies and sinuses miserable.

4. Phamily is my favorite thing about this time of year or anytime really. 

I am going to continue my Father's Day post here tomorrow and at my other blog too. I want to share my late father-in-law Carl and my son Jeremy and son-in-law Roger and grandsons Andrew and Colton and all the dad's everywhere.  Of course, my sweetheart Avery too. 

Thankful Thursday

 With this heatwave I am thankful for the a/c and being able to stay indoors. Tomorrow I have to venture out, but early in the morning, to the bank and credit union. I will pick up a few groceries and be home before the temps are rising higher. We do see rain in the new week forecast and temps about 30 degrees lower. Ah.......

When you come to this grandmothers house the royal treatment is part of your visit. While one leg of sister appears in the lower end of the photo, as she konked out, the big brother is dining on a meal and his usual, hot cocoa. Two large marshmallows and whipped cream come with this drink. This boy is so comfortable here, he strips off his shirt so he can hunker down in the bed. Thankful to have him still visiting. My how he has grown.

When this girl decided she had enough, she crashed on mylap/ leg. I was trapped so this is the only photo I could take without waking her. She is a very light sleeper. One of her legs was in the first photo. Thankful she is here too. That pretty face....on a small girl with a very determined personality.

Aw...Mondays and More

 

Jeremy took Brody to this car show and he got to sit in the Jurassic Park vehicle that was used in the movie. This child is fascinated with cars! We entertained Blake at our house. He was such a good boy. We had tons of funs, lots of bubble, mac n cheese and watching silly cartoons too. I hope you will visit Aw...Mondays .

I want to share kindness, the kind that Jessica Marie Baker would spreading throughout her short 46 year life. She was not dealt a winning hand in life but she turned that around and made everyone in her path a better person for kind heart and positive attitude.  Jessica was a food server and she worked hard. She made eveyrone from her co workers to her customers feel better. I wish you could read all the messages her phamily received via social media from people everywhere. Never an unkind thought or deed or word passed from Jessica to others. I will treasure my moments shared with Jessica. She was pure kindness. Going to miss you from this life sweet lady.

More kindnesses in memory of Jessica.

We were wishing Rebekah a happy birthday today and I realized these girls were born in the wee morning hours- Noelle (2 A.M.) Hannah (1 A.M.) and Rebekah (3 A.M.). Jeremy was born at 5:45 A.M. and Nick at 4:00 in the afternoon. Nick making a statement I suppose!
