HAPPY EASTER

Wanting to wish everyone a Happy & Beautiful Easter SONday. I am grateful to be here. Lots has happened in our phamily since I was last blogging. Here are my pretty tulips the other day. This morning they were drooping in the snow and cold. Ah....Springtime in Colorado!

Brody fell at school, during recess and rebroke his right leg. He had to have more surgery and he was upset. But he had great plans to play summer baseball so that will be on hold for another year. He came through the surgery and was able to go home sooner than his parents thought. The doctor did a surgery which he has had great success with with children under age 10. Normally, a surgery for adults, the doctor was able to put a rod in his leg starting at the hip and traveling north and south down his right leg. He has used the walker and wheelchair but plans to be able to walk on his leg again soon.

Last Friday evening, the baseball program they participate in had a special program before the start of their season. All the kids came onto the field and Brody & Blake were throwing out the first pitch. The mayor in their city heard their story from a friend who came to a city council meeting and talked about the boys. The mayor deemed Friday, April 11, 2025 as Brody & Blake Day. The kids on the field chanted their names and the police officers and fire fighters who were first on the scene from their accident were there to meet the boys first hand. It was quite a moving experience and wonderful evening. The weather was perfect.

A few random photos. Shortly before Brody's broken leg for the second time, Brittany won a meet & greet with Jamal Murray who plays for the Denver Nuggets and happens to be one of our all time favorite Nuggets. She could take one person with her and of course, Brody is a huge Jamal fan. They were able to get photos with him and Brody was over the moon.
Jamal told Brody his basketball clogs were "tight:. Brody was so happy to meet him. He and Brittany and 49 other fans were able to talk with him and snap photos too.

Little B& B Brothers Blake  does his own thing and he loves the i
pad as his cool new glasses help him. He has been doing well since an eye infection a few weeks earlier. These two boys are strong and so brave. They have been through so much and yet they keep moving forward.

I will share my Easter photos as we all have a wonderful Easter SONday planned.

Oh my gosh, what an awful accident! And now he will have to be so patient. But I'm glad he is doing so well.

I did not know all this - you and your family have had a very rough time of it. The boys seem to be pushing on and I am so proud of them both.
Hopefully you will all be together this Easter.

What strong lil' troopers your Brody and Blake! I love the way your community came out to celebrate them. Praying for speedy healing ... and, of course, a blessed Easter.

That must have been so frustrating for Brody, but both boys sound like real troopers. Praying for a total recovery for both of them.

Thank you. Those boys have been through so much and yet they keep being grateful for each new adventure they share. They are typical boys.

No they have not but they are strong and brave and they do what they need to to heal. It has been hard to see them go through all this. Grateful for God's presence in their lives. I remind them every time I see them. Thank you
