Aw....Mondays

" It's time to go."

Let's Rock n roll

Let's Skaddle

Saddle up, Partners

Let's get the heck outta Dodge

Time to hit the road

Let's blow this pop stand

Let's high tail it outta here

Let's get this show on the road.

When I worked with my friend Bea, she always said Let's blow this pop stand at 5 o'clock when we raced out that door! She is 94! As a kid we often said, let's make like a banana and split. My husband would say "let's hoof it" or "Make a tree and leaf" and "What's your beef jerky?" not a Time to go expression but hilarious just the same.

I like to say Aloha, Vaya Con Dios, See Ya Later Alligator, Ciao and in my parents native tongue, "Adijo". It's funny sLOVEnian is a difficult language to learn and many phrases I remember from my childhood are different then some more modern ones I hear when I use a translator.

I had to snag this four generation photo from Noelle, our oldest girl. She currently lives with her son Colton, Shea's daddy, and his phamily. They put up blinds in their living and dining rooms, their bedroom and Harrison's room which has two windows and gets too hot with all the sun. So we stopped by to see their new window covers. Noelle took a few photos and posted this one on social media. Jacey and Colton did a wonderful job putting up their windows coverings. Now they can stay extra cool in the summer and extra warm in the winter. It is a win win !!

Our grandson Brody wound up his baseball season a few weeks ago. Today they celebrated with a pizza party. Brody is going to have surgery to have his tonsils removed. If you are a prayer warrior, please pray. It is always a nerve wracking time when someone needs surgery. It will be on Tuesday morning.  Thank you.

Brother Blake finished his season of T-ball too. This kid is such a good kid and always so kind hearted. When someone approached us after a game and said what a great coaching helper Brody was at T-ball, Blake responded by telling the lady, "Brody is my brotha." He is a good friend to his big brother. This boy is heading to kindergarten in a few short months. I expect him to do great things with his Math skills. Love these two boys.

We've been trying to get the spare room ready for Hannah & Jake and the baby who will arrive in mid July for Avery's birthday. The room was overwhelmed with everything we needed to donate, sell,, etc. So Avery and I spend many hours on his days off going back and forth to the garage and shed. We need to clear a new place for our big lawn mower our son-in-law Zach bought. Hoping Jake, our son-in-law who is a whiz with anything that has an engine will be able to overhaul the old mower we shared with Noelle and Roger for many years.

Rebekah has been hard at work in the backyard getting it ready for the birthday bash for her dad. She works so hard in the evenings and weekends to get everything in shape and has put in two garden beds. She had lots of goodies growing there, including her favorite, potatoes. Potatoes have to be moved every year so she was happy to get a larger garden bed to plant them in. She has done a nice job and I will get some photos once it is completed.

love is...always has the right answers and words to share. I don't like the days my sweetheart has to head back to work. This week will be a short week and he will have an extra day off. It is a good blessing.

A good reminder from a wonderful person, Audrey Hepburn. We recently watched the most romantic movie with her and Gary Cooper. We are stuck on the old movies. It was such a beautiful movie. Nothing like it today. These words fit in to the Sparks that Annie use to share with us before she left blogging. Lots of people keep it going.

Blue Monday Memories. Always thinking about Sally, who use to blog each Monday and share some of the best blues. She looked everywhere to find blue to share with us. This pretty little house/cottage has the sweetest blue shutters and a door too. Such a pretty place.

Love that possible/impossible thinking. We tend to all think that way at our house. The three day work week this week is going to be real nice.

Such a sweet family picture of your 4 generations! What a blessing!! And the boys in their t-ball uniforms are so sweet! I remember those days with our little boys. Such fun and happy times! They grow up way too fast. And I will pray for the little one that is having his tonsils out tomorrow. I rarely hear of them doing that anymore. Praying all will go well for him. And yes, I do love that little cottage house with the blue shutters...so pretty...I'd love to live there. I hope you have a blessed and beautiful week and enjoy your family times.

Thanks, Anne, for sharing photos of your precious phamily with us here today. I'll be praying for successful surgery on those tonsils, too! What cute boys they are.
Hope you all have a great Independence Day this week. Blessings!

There are so many ways to say let's get out of here. Fun.

Your family is most wonderful. Prayers for Brody to have a successful surgery. Less problems after those tonsils are removed. Ask for lots of ice cream.

Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Love and hugs. ♥

Oh, I love that 4-generation photograph! Shea looks so much like her daddy, doesn't she?
I know you're getting excited to welcome Hannah and family -- happy times to offset what's going on in this crazy mix-up world. Like that dear old song goes, "You gotta AC-centuate the positive, E-liminate the negative ..."
Happy new week, dear!

I think the last person who used the skedaddle phrase to me was my mother. :-)
