TIME TO PAMPER YOU...
Welcome to Toni Taddeo's Tuesday 4.
Let's talk about you personally.
1. Do you pamper yourself at all? If yes, how do you do that? I try to brush my hair with a boar's hair brush every night before bedtime with 100 strokes! I use a morning and night cleanser and moisturizer's. I need to exercise more, but try to do some walking and still follow Jack Lalanne old you tube videos for exercise.
2.What kinds of foods/dishes do you consider to be a real treat? Do you often pamper yourself by having them? This is where I fail! I love good food and have a terrible sweet tooth. Sometimes I wish I were like a cat, who can not sweet. hahaha I love pasta and good desserts plus bread. All the carbs I need to shed from my life!
3. What luxury item/items do you consider would be very hard to do without? (like buying books, having your hair done.. just about anything you really could do without but prefer not to.)
Buying books is the hardest one, I think I currently have 14 waiting for me to read. I get a hair cut with shampoo about every 6 weeks as a real treat and hope to save to get some highlights. Otherwise I am thrifty.
4. What kind of holiday or vacation would be a total luxury with which you might pamper yourself? Honestly, I would like to travel more and visit our youngest daughter and her little phamily in Western NY. They live on acreage and just walking around the property, breathing fresher air and enjoying the quiet is a real luxury. I do love a good mountain retreat or a day or two or ten at the beach too

Feline Friday and Friendly Fill In's
If you read both of my blog posts here and at my other blog PHAMILY BLOG you would see that my blogger friend Diann LaBell Huffaker passed away. I chose these photos because when they hold her celebration of life, it will be as soon as the lilacs bloom. Aside from being a kind heart, Diann was a Master Gardner and knew so much about most every plant and herb and flower. She will be sadly missed.
Ellen and Lorianne share this Blog Hop and each of them selects two of the sentences presented here. Thanks ladies, and hope everyone enjoy these today.

Thankful Thursday Snoopy and Friendly Fill In's
My father was the team catcher. He is pictured on the far right side leaning on his bat. My uncle, his older brother Rudy a/k/a Moon is behind him and he was the team manager.
Having a pitch clock, if you have ball-strike implications, that's messing with the fabric of the game. There's no clock in baseball, and there's no clock in baseball for a reason. Max Scherzer
I would love to see as many of the black players as possible in today's Major League Baseball make every effort to go to the Negro Leagues Museum and get a first-hand view of how it all started. Ferguson JenkinsMy mother is the lady to your right holding a broom in front of the door on your right. She was such a sweetheart but she was a fierce baseball player herself. This was some kind of promo for the National Broom Company. I cherish these photos of my folks.

Aw... Mondays/ Happy Tuesday/ Tuesday4/ Wordless Wednesday
My friend Shirley , who I worked with in the 70's when we were just babies, haha, sent this snarky lil girl face to me with the words that made me laugh out loud!
The Bear must be related to me! Lately, the more I try to get done, the more tired I am! I guess "old age" is real and I am finally admitting it!
love is...self explanatory.
Since we spend three days watching the boys, B&B play baseball and T Ball I found this photo, from about 2006 of Nick! That skinny boy could hit a baseball long and hard! What a sweet memory for me.
Oh Maxine, I think you are reading my mind!! It is something I absolutely detest!
Since I am always falling behind, and Tuesday4 took a holiday break, here are my four questions for you:
1. Do you watch much television?
2. If you do, what are some favorite programs?
3. If you don't, what do you like to do in the evenings/
4. Do you think there are more commercials everywhere, i.e. TV, radio, billboards, even social media?
My answers are here:
1. Do you watch much television? Oh yes we do! Often it is the only think to take us a way for a few hours. We are sports fans but if the MLB, NBA and NFL do not get their act together with their focus on gambling and cheating by certain teams and refs/umpires and other inappropriate nonsense that does not, I repeat, does not belong in the sportsworld, I am sad to say, we may have to give it up!
2. If you do what are some of your favorite programs? We loved the two year old series So Help Me Todd which we founds out, is going off the air. It was a cute program with Marcia Gay Harden and Skylar Astin! Sad to see it go and yet series that are going into their 20th season and are repeating so much of their storylines from the first few years! So annoying!
3. If you don't, what do you like to do in the evenings? We have nights like that! Nothing is on so we play gin rummy, we read Scripture together and we pray for everyone we can think of under the sun! (we pray and read Scripture anyway but often it is our private time with Our Lord).
4. Do you think there are more commercials everywhere, i.e. TV, radio, billboards, even social media? Yes absolutely, commercials especially drug commercials, my goodness, half the magazines you try to read like Woman's Day, BH&G, Southern Living, Coastal Living etc. are loaded with their drugs! Social media is the worst, with their minding your business about something you have viewed, like a new item at at a favorite dept. store or amazon.com. So absolutely uncalled for! Radio is getting bad too. We tune in to the Christian channels because their commercials are sponsors trying to lighten your load in this wacky world.

Aw...Mondays
You know my father played the game, long before I was dreamed up. He always loved the game best and I feel he was shining down on Brody Saturday. What a day it was. I leaned near a tree trying to keep my composure when I saw my grandson behind the plate. My niece Sarah, who was taken from us too soon also had passion for sports and she was a baseball pitcher. My sister was blessed to see her pitch a game and said she threw that ball as great as any guy who ever stood on the pitchers mound. I wish I had some photos of her.

Animal Friends
Welcome to Toni Taddeo's Tuesday 4.
Let's talk about animals today!
1. What pets do you have or have you had? Do you have any now or if not, why not?
We have two long haired chihuahua's. Mom & daughter.
2. How did you find names for your animal friends? What are their names?
When I first met Lulu she just looked like a 'Lulu' and since our daughter and her husband helped with the birth of Mollie, Rebekah named her.
3. Any special or funny story concerning pets you would like to share? It could be someone else's as well as your own. Mollie is three whole lbs. She can beat up her brother Finn who is 12 lbs. She is a very independent lil girl. She loves our son Nick and waits for him by the door when she knows he will walk through it at the same time! If I say "Where did your Nicky boy go?" She will run to his bedroom and sit on her special quilt he has for her. If you try to go in there she gives you a very fierce growl (if you can comprehend how vicious three pounds of a tiny girl is!)
4. What benefit do you find having animals in your family? What are the cons of having them? They are a joy. We were all sad when we lost Leo back in September 2022 but we all console each other. They are very intelligent and know when you need extra love. Are they a pain in the butt? Yes! They think they are fearless yet sometime there is a hawk alert. Someone will see a HUGE hawk and let us know. Fortunately, only the annoying Woodpecker, who prefers 6 AM as his time to work! We can not leave them alone. They seem sad this week. We think our neighbor Duke, the black lab must have passed away as he is no longer by the fence each day. His owner is very private and kind of in her own world. So since he has not been on his daily walk we think he meet the Rainbow Bridge. :-(
Tuesday was a happy day! Sunshine, warm weather and lots of trips to the yard for pups to roll and enjoy the warm day.
Tuesday was a happy supper/dinner day - fresh baked chicken with broccoli and some delicious rice. Plus a mint chocolate chip Oreo ice cream sandwich! No photo, drat!!
Lazy Bones on a Tuesday morning. Hogging the bed as usual. You would think this boy owns the place! He is in his Happy place napping.
