MY BOY TIGER A/K/A/ MISTER KITTY

My boy left this world yesterday at 2:21 P.M. I am so sad by his loss. He became ill very quickly and I felt like he was gone too soon. I have been trying to make a badge on my side bar on my other blog  and it will not print my picture here to shrink.

All I can say is that I am devastated . He was always at my side and now I don't know what to do.

A Little Tea Party

Welcome back to another of Toni Taddeo's Tuesday 4.
For my southern friends.. I pray the weather lightens up on you all.  I know it's been a very rough summer heat wise.  Let's pray together for a solution.

This week could we talk about your personal thoughts?

1. Do you find yourself day dreaming about your situation and things you would love to do if only...? Always, my whole life I have been a dreamer. It helps me today with all that is going on in our country and the world.

2. If you are having tea/coffee, a little break in the day does your mind wander off to other thoughts and meditations. Yes, I often pray when I am alone in my thoughts and while all the other members of  our household are working. Today I took a little break and had some milk chocolate tea biscuits. It is 89 outside right now. So I did not have my London Fog tea with Lavender Earl Grey. Just ice tea.

3. Do you find yourself meditating or revisiting in your mind a scripture, verse from a book you've read and it's impact on you? Yes always again! Today I found the perfect verse:  " I will lead the blind  in a way that they do not know, I will guide them. I will turn the darkness before them to light, the rough places into level ground. These are the things I do, and I do not forsake them.: Isiaiah 4:26 It helps me prepare for the way our world is going. My trust is in God Himself.

4.  Do you find yourself sometimes replaying conversations with others?   Are there books or movies that stay vivid in your mind? People always come to mind with reminders of things about them whether they are here or not. Some old TV programs or movies stick to my mind too.. Fried Green Tomatoes,  (face it girls, I'm older, I have more insurance). Sweet Home Alabama, "Why you wanna marry me anyway?", "So I can kiss you, anytime I want to." Love Rachel Hannah and Hope Holloway books. Well written and not trashy. I don't like lots of inappropriate entertainment at all.

Thank you to ANNIE for hosting this.

FELINE FRIDAY

The caption on this says: "Darling, you will never be everybody's cup of tea! You're champagne! It was the sweetest video clip and the cat spoke in a French accent! Stop by Mimi's and say hi!

ELLEN and LORIANNE co host the Fill In's. I have not been here most of this week but I copied the questions. Here are my answers:

1.Track & Field is my favorite Olympic sport.

2. I won't spend money on anymore books. I have nowhere to keep them. Plus I have donated dozens to the free library house at our rec center .

 3. I've come to the terms with the fact that I want to live only in God's truth and not the world's nonsense.

4. My computer search history includes: checking my trivia answers on the ones I get incorrect. i.e. presidential facts and fun, Civil War battles, state capitals (I am still really good at this one). Thanks Sister Beatrice, Saint Mary's Catholic School, Pueblo, Colorado, 4th grade!

"One good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain." Bob Marley

"Music touches us emotionally, where words can't. Johnny Depp

"Music is the universal language of mankind." Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

In regarding to my fill in answer number 3 this is my fact checker!  Recently at social media, I posted a quote from Elisabeth Elliot as I have followed her since the 1980's. The  fact checkers removed my post saying it was not mine to share. I reported it to the page but nothing has been said or done. So it is another scathing indictment of the world today. I am also very careful sharing any news I get, especially second hand. I am not a 24 hour news watcher. But there are many untruths that go around trying to harm people and their character. So I simply P R A Y.

When I was young there was an expression " If you can't beat 'em join 'em! Uh-no thank you! I am glad I took my dad's advice as a young teen. He would say, "If all your friends were jumping off a tall building are you going to join them? "Nope, absolutely not!" Grateful for that man who raised me right.

In the words of my beloved ancestors:

Aw....Mondays Blue Monday Memories I Think I Love Pink love is....

 Awww......Mondays

A pink kitchen! What do you think?  I think my husband may want a Blue Kitchen instead! But if I had a tiny cottage, I would have this kitchen! A girl can always dream.

This is a Lennar Home. Do you have this builder in your area? I know a gal who has lived in three different Lennar homes. They are beautiful but this cottage style with a second story made me smile and remember sharing Blue with Sally a long while ago.

I am not a SnapChat fan! I like to save photos so I played with their app and created me in a younger light! Ha ha Ha ha! It was a fun experience.

love is... always shares my thoughts the best.  I use to fight aging and hated thinking of growing older. But sharing my life with my sweet husband Avery made all the difference. A friend Margie  long ago told me, I embrace my graying hair. Those are strains of wisdom and I know I deserve them! I waited a long time  for them.

The world is moving fast, changing in ways I don't like! Think Venezuela ! Rumors of wars and wars raging. So I will try to remain in God's circle and pray for my country, my people, my world. John Paul II was a Good Shepherd. But he came to Denver in 1993 and I was waiting "impatiently" for Nick to be born! So I was unable to go to the event to hear him speak. My uncle Art went along with my Aunt Ann S. and her friend Joe. My aunt Stephanie had recently passed away and Uncle Art wanted to attend because they had planned to go together. It was a sweet tribute to her and maybe she was watching them from her new heavenly home.

I love this quote and I thought if Annie still did  Sparks  at McGuffy's Reader  she might have liked this share too. Lots of people still post these and I try to do them too.

The whirlwind of company, parties, happy August days and sadness too gave me some moments to relax and reflect. I will be around to visit you and I usually check prior posts at your blogs so it takes me a while. I hope something good happens to you today.

FELINE FRIDAY

This is a Pinterest find saying this is a "Street Kitty". This kitten looks like my Tiger a/k/a Mister Kitty.

The kids left early Saturday morning. We spent most of the day catching up on some rest. We did so many projects when they were here and we all needed some extra rest. It was hard waking up and not seeing that smiling baby boy looking up at us from his mat and his toys.

I am  going to have to get back into my regular routine starting tomorrow. It is hard getting readjusted after two weeks with the kids.

August 4th is always a hard day. It is the day, five years ago we lost sweet Alastor  Avery. I am so grateful we babysat him that Friday before he passed away along with Harrison James. Good memories forever in our hearts.

THANKFUL THURSDAY and MY BOJON HERITAGE with Friendly Fill In's

 Thankful Thursday

Pikes Peak From My Childhood Window

I was sorting laundry earlier and suddenly sat down and cried. I was missing my mom. Missing my aunt Ang and missing my grandmother. I stopped to visit a childhood friend at social media. She was missing her mom too! Her grandma, her two aunts. Carole was raised in an unconventional home with 1 bath room, three sisters, a mom, a grandma and two aunties! She is one of the best people I know. We met at school 65 years ago! Oh My Goodness! A long while ago.

So I stopped to be thankful for everyone and everything in my life. Then I thought about the best view from my childhood window: Pikes Peak. Looking out our living room window at the empty lot across the street and seeing the most majestic view a girl could see! Pikes Peak, all 14,115 feet above sea level. Stunning!

In high school a friends mom drove us to the summit of Pikes Peak so we could watch the Peaks Pike Hill Climb Race. I was 16 and trucking up that mountain was breathtaking. It is a fond memory I am very thankful for.

The past few weeks have been filled with problems, home repairs, more car repairs, something always happening. But I remain thankful . Grateful to be able to to fix everything. More thankful to keep my mind occupied on all the little things.

Flowers are simply magnificent and yet so simple. My husband loves the sunflowers. I have tried to grow them without success. We will try again. So I don't think he will see this post but....I bought a new comforter for the bed for his birthday. But it does not arrive until next week. So....he does not know about it. I will change the comforter and our curtains later in this month so we can enjoy it into the Fall. Thankful

This silly Mister Kitty a/k/a/ Tiger came to live with us on June 21, 2013. He was 10 on April 30th. Boy has he changed. But he sleeps at my feet and he is a good source of thankfulness when he fires up his engine and lets me listen to him purr.

Much to be thankful for because August is filled with many happy occasions. Jeremy born on August 9. Zach born on August 13, Nick born on August 20.  Blake born  30 of August.  Alastor Avery will be gone five years on the 4th and Roger would have celebrated 24 years of marriage with Noelle, August 27th we are very thankful that they were in our lives.  we never known the number of days we have on this earth so appreciate each person, each moment and most of all tuck those memories inside our hearts!
