PINK THINGS FOR THANKFUL THURSDAY FRIENDLY FILL IN'S AND PINK SATURDAY WITH FELINE FRIDAY

Thankful Thursday Yesterday was the last day to watch Harrison after school for a while. So I am putting my Thankful Thursday post here with Friendly Fill In's and Pink Saturday,

These cool prints were Pinterest finds but a few of them are still available on etsy.  Aren't they just precious? I love pink , I even have a Barbie who is dressed in a white & pink wedding gown with matching pink shoes! But poodles are wonderful fur babies. I had two of them growing up, my girl Gigi Olavera  was the daughter of circus performers and she was a black beauty. Her daughter Renee de Orleans Antoinette was just like her mom, a real black beauty. They were smart and funny and very loyal. I loved them so much and missed them terribly when they passed away. Little Renee succumbed to breast cancer. She passed away the July day that I moved from my hometown to Denver to take a job with the UCHSC (1983). I laid with her by her little bed and my mom told me she never left her side and she passed away later that evening,  She was a good pet and I loved her nearly.

Please visit Pink Saturday for more pinks.

Hi everyone!  Time for the fill-ins. Ellen came up with the first two sentences and her co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with the second two. If you didn’t do a post for them, you can also answer in the comment section. Thank you to all who participate. Don’t forget to add your link to the hop so everyone can visit you. The link is open until Wednesday night.

THANK YOU ELLEN!

My answers:
1. Traveling the country in an RV would make my life easier. It is a dream but hey, can't a girl dream?
2. My May to-do list includes decluttering and planting some veggies and flowers. Always late here due to the weather.
3. If my morning starts with sunshine, it always turns into a glorious day!
4. Ending my day with prayer makes me happier and more peaceful.

In keeping it pink today here is a pretty kitty in pink. This art print is available at etsy and I am noting it since I found this cutie at Pinterest.

  • Fierce. "Pink is my signature color." "Be a flamingo in a flock of pigeons." ... I could not find who this is atttributed to but I think it is perfect for pink!

Tomorrow is the Kentucky Derby. Is anyone watching? I use to buy a new hat to wear it and wear my hat but a few years back when they started the political nonsense I lost my taste for dressing up. I sure do love all the beautiful horses. I know a major local channel will have it on and there are up against that coronation in the UK.  Kind of sad who disrespectful to the late Queen her family has become. All the back biting, fighting, hatefulness, I could tune in to reality TV for such nonsense. I heard they are doing away with the traditional crowns. My opinion of it all is this, stop spending foolish money in these difficult times. My own personal opinion, not stirring up trouble. I think it is nice to want to cut back but they certainly will never give up their lavish  lifestyles. Sorry, not interested in any of it.  Everything in today's world is so tainted. It is very sad. So although I love seeing the beautiful horses at the derby I don't bet on them or anything. As a young child, my grandmothers cousin gave me a wonderful gift. He helped me overcome my fear of horses and I have never forgotten how kind that horse was to me because he knew I was fearful and their sense of such fear amazes me. They are incredibly kind creatures not to mention magnificent.  Simply my thoughts today while thinking of pink good things.

Great answers! Having Tom well again would definitely make my life easier, but I need to reconcile myself to his/our new normal.

The Kentucky Derby used to be a big deal at my (former) husband's family. There was always a big meal, mixed drinks and drawing to see who got which horse. I don't remember what year it was, but once when a horse went down and had to be destroyed I couldn't bear to watch. Most likely tomorrow I'll come in her (office) until it's over and Tom tells me it's 'safe' to come watch the replay.
I've no interest in watching the to-do over Charles and Camilla (gag). Diana's probably rolling in her grave.

Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I had the same for #4. I hope you get to rv around the country someday. XO

I never watch the Kentucky Derby, although I do love horses. As for the royal family? I watched the coronation (recorded) with great enthusiasm. The drama stems from Mr. American, Harry, not the rest of the family. When I was in college, I was blessed to take and extended visit to the United Kingdom to study literature. I was enthralled by Westminster Cathedral and the Palace. The ceremony today was infused with Christian ideals of serving others above yourself and being faithful to the Lord. I thought that was inspirational especially in these turbulent times.
Oh, and I love pink, too!
Blessings, Anne!

I didn't realize today was the Kentucky Derby. I can't believe I missed it. I usually put on a hat and watch it on TV. I totally blew it! I enjoyed your pink pictures, even though I am not necessarily a "pink" fan. I was a redhead growing up and pink clashed with my hair, so I thought, anyway. So no pink for me! LOL. But I do like it on others. I hope you have a wonderful week. Always good to see you here.

Horses are magnificent, i have enjoyed many a beautiful ride.

Prayer makes me relax at night, too.
