Thankful Thursday Friendly Fill In's Feline Friday and Pink Saturday

Thankful Thursday

Glad to have grown up with Barbie. I remember my sister received a Barbie doll for getting her tonsils. out. I was jealous but my mom bought me one later on at Skaggs Drug store. Did you ever shop there? They had a whole basement area filled with a toy section. I am thankful for those bygone days.

Thankful that these two men made a powerful impact on my life. My dad on the left, who will be gone 38 years next month. Not a day goes by that I don't miss him. My father-in-law (holding Rebekah as a baby) was another man with a such good values, he raised an excellent son and I loved him dearly. Both of these men were godly and took care of their phamilies. So very thankful for them both.

Thankful for my beautiful childhood home (minus that ugly creepy fence the owners put up). I guess they are not smart enough to drive in and out of the long driveway to and from the garage with a beautiful chain link fence and matching double driveway fence.  I am thankful to this very day of the beautiful unobstructed view of Pikes Peak from my living room window there.

Time for the fill-ins.Ellencame up with the first two sentences and her co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with the second two. If you didn’t do a post for them, you can also answer in the comment section. Thank you to all who participate. Don’t forget to add your link to the hop so everyone can visit you. The link is open until Wednesday night.

1. My favorite character from a film, tv or book is ____________________.
2. The one word I would use to describe myself is ___________________.
3. If I had to give you my best piece of advice, I would tell you _________.
4. _________ will never compare with _________.

My answers:
1. My favorite character from a film, tv, or book is Clint Walker as Cheyenne. It is an old tv Western but he stood for all that was good and honest.
2. The one word I would use to describe myself is outgoing.
3. If I had to give you my best piece of advice, I would tell you always trust your gut. That first feeling.
4. America will never compare with the way it use to be. It troubles me that people really truly want to live under the thumb of the government and not live freely.

We had company all week so I stayed away from my blogs and I missed them. Hannah and Jake went home today and Avery back to work as his co worker had this day off before he asked for vacation. It was a good week.

I was washing some of my cold water wash and Shea was with me. She saw me hang up this dress:

She said, "I love it!", I said "You're such a girlie girl!" She is something. Smart as a whip and funny and ornery too. She is a strong willed little lady.

This Pinterest kitten is so precious in pink I thopught perhaps they would enjoy here :

Always share your pinks here and anything else as it is anything goes!

Pink skies are always pretty. Someone mentioned that the Northern Lights could be seen in places in Colorado last night. I sure wish I could have seen them.

I heard from the Denver Post news that they could be seen over Denver and possibly tonight too. I am going to be out there searching the skies.

Yes, if you can dream it, you can do it! Thanks Walt Disney, what a visionary he was.

What glorious sky shots!! Your childhood house is so lovely! I have never heard of Skaggs. But I did used to love shopping at Woolworths and Krekege (wrong spelling I think)

Here on the east coast, it's rumored that the Northern Lights could be seen in Shenandoah, Virginia! We live way too far south to ever hope to witness such a grand display.
Blessings, Anne!
